Each year the university organises a study trip for students. In my third year the teaching staff took a different approach from the normal study trip abroad. That year we were tasked with designing and building outdoor kitchens for a group of Kata's at Comrie Croft near Crieff, Scotland. We used recycled materials and parts we could find around the croft's attached farmyard areas. Our group made a kitchen counter that holds, tucked away, a small table (with an old ladder for legs) that can be used by guests staying in the Kata.
The croft was planning to install the projects sometime in the summer of 2020/21. Until then, you will find below: a visual showing what our kitchen looks like in its forest location and our group with our final product.
